Privacy Policy

This site (docssheet.com) is a free docs and cheat-sheet learning resource
for software engineers, run by Abhishek Gupta. This page explains what happens
to data when you visit.
The short version
- There are no accounts and no login.
- The site does not ask you for personal information.
- Your learning progress is stored in your own browser, not on a server.
- Some data is processed by third parties that host the site, serve fonts, or (in future) show ads and aggregate analytics. Those are described below.
What is stored in your browser
The site uses your browser's localStorage for features that need to remember
something between visits:

This data never leaves your device, is not sent to me, and is not linked to any identity. You can clear it at any time by clearing site data in your browser.
What third parties may process
- GitHub Pages hosts this site. GitHub may log standard request information (IP address, user agent, requested URL) for security and operations. See the GitHub Privacy Statement.
- Google Fonts / static assets may be requested from a CDN when a page loads, which exposes your IP address to that CDN as part of the normal HTTP request.
- Analytics. This site uses GoatCounter for aggregate visit counts (page, referrer, rough country, browser). It sets no cookies, stores no personal data, and does not track you across sites, so no consent prompt is needed for it. It is only active once a site code is configured; if the counter is not set up, no analytics script loads at all.
- Advertising (planned). If Google AdSense is enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. You can review and control this at Google Ads Settings and aboutads.info/choices. See also How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
If and when analytics or ads are active, this page and the Cookie Policy will say so specifically.
Cookies

Your choices
- Block or clear cookies and site data in your browser settings.
- Use a browser extension or setting to block analytics/ad scripts.
- Opt out of personalised Google ads at Google Ads Settings.
Children
This site is aimed at working professionals and students of technology. It is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
This policy may be updated as the site changes. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect any revision.
